The golden phase in a person’s life is youth, for all aptitudes –physical, biological, mental and intellectual are at their optimum. Self-enfoldment being at its peak, every person at this age is the most lively, passionate and enthusiastic about his dreams and ambitions. The youth are considered to be the backbone of every nation in the world. They can change and shape the future of a society with their spirited deeds. They can change the world they live in and the world for the people with whom they share it.
To achieve your own dream, it takes a lifetime but to achieve the dream of millions, it’s a feat only a select few can perform in the history of mankind and that is the youth. They have the power to influence their generation to make the constructive differences. Their blazing influence can bring tremendous revolutions in all walks of life; it can make or mar a nation and even mankind.
When accepting the role of youth in bringing about the revolution in the country, it is obligatory to refer to MYL (Minhajul Quran Youth League), an organization on the horizon of Pakistan, organized to induce the youth to participate in the nation building process. Now the point is that what sort of Revolution Minhajul Quran Youth League is going to bring about? To understand this, we need to visit history of MYL a little.
Minhajul Quran Youth League is the youth organ of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. It was established on 30th November 1988. Since its inception, MYL has been imparting spiritual, ideological, educational, technical and social guidance to youth, so that they (the youth), who are the most dynamic segment of society and the future of the nation may transform themselves into the useful and productive citizens of the society. In this way, they will be at the forefront of building the future of Pakistan. Peace and prosperity will be the destiny of nation and Pakistan will enjoy its great respect among the world community.
Objectives of MYL are to:

Build character of the youth through spiritual purification.
Upgrade technical and practical skills of the youth.
Foster objective-oriented thought among the youth.
Promote social welfare activities.
Restore self confidence and encouragement and inculcate spirit of service the nation.
Motivate the youth to participate in the nation building process.
Guard the youth against increasing sex abuse and obscenity.
Work against social and economic exploitation.
Protect the youth against drug menace.
Make the youth a symbol of struggle for peace.
Facilitate the youth in career counseling.
Make practical efforts to eradicate unemployment.
Provide assistance in disaster hit areas.
Make them imbibe the democratic behavior and nurture leadership qualities in the youth.
Work actively and effectively for reducing environmental pollution.

Unfolding the facts, we listen and say that youth can change things and destiny of any nation but how? I very often used to think that we just say the things verbally but do not in fact believe in them. The question is that where is the Pakistan at this time? How can it be changed? How can Pakistan rediscover the person who can transform our nation into something? This is a big question that I ask to myself and to the whole nation. Of course there is not an easy answer but after living as a Pakistani, I have come to one conclusion at least: Pakistan will be changed through Minhajul Quran Youth League under the legendry leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
I am privileged to divulge with great excitement that under the crown of Minhajul Quran Youth League, millions of young people (brothers & sisters) are experiencing spiritual awakening in Pakistan. This transformation will help our nation to become a true nation and follow the path of success and triumph. I have very high hopes from this League that it will change the future course of our people and guide them on the right path and track.
The need of the present time is to get united & strive for the betterment of the nation in all state of affairs and MYL is the unparalleled forum for it, as it is performing by examples instead of chanting verbal slogans.

For sure, it is a universal phenomenon that youth can be a key force for any revolution; MYL is taking all vital initiatives to facilitate them to develop and grow in all walks of life as well as to help remove obstructions coming in their way. These initiatives will result in getting a new breed of leaders from this young lot, who can handle the constantly changing world around them.
